I have a wealth of experience and knowledge on developing progressive, sustainable and collaborative environments. I work with educators, mental health professionals, physicians, social workers, and community organizations to eliminate systematic oppression.
I am compassionate, dedicated, and persistant which are valuable attributes to have in various contexts. I am attentive and thoughtful to complex situations when conducting workshops.
Currently, my research focuses on transgender health and interactions with social systems in New Mexico. My interests are in community based research practices, public health advocacy, and health policy.
I offer a course at New Mexico Highlands University in the School of Social Work Program titled:
Foundations of Practices when working with a LGBT community.
I teach in American Studies a course titled: Introduction to Gender Studies that focuses on Gender, Labor, and Migration specifically thinking about the Southwest.
